We are very happy to collaborate in Disquiet Listening: Tunis, a project spanning across the globe, promoting collaboration and communication through music and radio.
Disquiet Listening will be broadcasted in two parts, one on the 26th and the second on the 27th of June at 18:00 EEST.
During the artist residency, anthropologist, sound artist, and radio host Eugenia Seriakov (alias Cate Hops) will offer an immersive radio experience for local artists, visitors, and external listeners. The entire residency will span over 3 weeks, during which the artist will conduct field research, take field recordings and collect interviews. Local and touring musicians will feature in live improvised concerts. The recordings and live performances will be partly recorded and retrospectively broadcasted, others will stream live via FM and online radio.

Disquiet Listening: TUNIS
What happens if you transfer the intimate moment of an event - happening right here and now -into another room somewhere else?
Disquiet Listening Tunis is a portrait of the city and its independent art scene featuring the communities around Mouhit Space and Dar Meso Art Residency. We connect elements of live broadcasting, submitted tracks from international radio fellows, radio art, interviews, and theordinary of everyday life. At the heart of the show are live concerts, featuring local musicians inad-hoc duos, with no predetermined setlists or compositions, conversations with the guest andthe audience. We open a space for experimentation and co-create new sonic landscapes.

About Eugenia Seriakov (Aka Cate Hops)
Curator - Sound Artist - Performer
EUGENIA SERIAKOV (*1989, Sofia) alias Cate Hops is a Berlin based anthropologist, curator and sound artist. Through her academic background in Visual and Media Anthropology, her ideas reflect space as a social practice. Her performances unfold as electro-acoustic experimental sound pieces and ambient scapes. She works with objects, hacked toys, effected voice, and radios. She is a co-founder of the Fem*noise network. With the ongoing project "Sound System Culture: On the Radical Roots of Rave", she initiates events in which the audience is actively involved. Eugenia Seriakov has taught and presented at different conferences and festivals, e.g. ICTM Lisbon, IASPM Krakow, Unsafe+Sounds Festival Vienna, Goethe University Frankfurt, Humboldt University and Media University in Berlin, and the Art University Linz.
